The Friends of the March of the Living is a 501( c ) 3 organization established to perpetuate the March of the Living Program. The following dedications are available for memorializing or honoring family, friends or corporate enterprises in perpetuity:
|To remember the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust, to “Name” the March of the Living in a specific Region.Your dedication will appear on all letterheads,brochures and ALL publicity and publications relating to the March of the Living in the Region selected.
|To be named “ SPONSOR” of the March of the Living in a Region as selected and to be so noted on all letterheads and printed materials in that Region.
|To “Name” the GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM in a Region as selected and to be so noted on all scholarship materials and letters to recipients in that Region.
|To “Name” the BAR & BAT MITZVAH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM in a Region. Every Bar & Bat Mitzvah from each participating Synagogue in that Region would be presented with a $250 Scholarship Certificate to be redeemed toward their participation as a qualified candidate in the March of the Living during their appropriate year.
|To “Name” the MADRICHIM TRAINING AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM to enable each Region the means to bring qualified formal and informal Jewish Educators as Staff on each March of theLiving bus.
|To “Name” the TEEN RETREAT in a Region for all participants on the March to convene for the educational and social retreat in preparation for the March of the Living experience. Name will appear on all printed materials, t-shirts, etc. relating to the retreat.
|To “Name” a YOM HA’ATZMAUT - ISRAEL INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION for the participants from a Region during the March of the Living in Israel and provide printed material, shirts and other regalia bearing the designation of the donor.
|To “Name” the STAFF/ADULT RETREAT in a Region.Name will appear on all printed materials, t-shirts, etc. relating to the Retreat.
|To “Name” the SURVIVOR SCHOLARSHIP FUND in a Region to provide scholarships to enable Survivors,and in future years, Children of Survivors, to join with the teens on the March of the Living to share the most important stories of the Holocaust.
|To “Sponsor” a VIDEO for a Region to be made during the March of the Living and distributed to each participant as a permanent remembrance of the experience
|To “Name” a SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOLARSHIP FUND in a Region, to enable qualified special needs teens to participate in the March of the Living.
|To “Sponsor” the SIDDURIM (Reform, Conservative, Orthodox) for each March for all participants in a Region. Dedication will be placed in each Prayer Book to be kept by each participant for future use.
|To “Sponsor” a DIGITAL SLIDE SHOW for a Region enabling pictures to be sent from Poland and Israel on the internet throughout the trip and then having a copy made as a permanent remembrance for each participant.
|To “Dedicate” the MARCH OF THE LIVING JOURNAL in each Region and be so recognized in the printed publication to include, triptiks of all sites, educational material, songs, prayers, etc. to be distributed as a lasting remembrance for each participant.
|To “Sponsor” the ISRAELI TOUR GUIDE PROJECT” to enable each Region to bring their Israeli Guides to Poland to share the experience with the group they will guide for the week in Israel and better under-stand the experience that the teens had on their journey to Poland.
|To “Name” a FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP.to be awarded as part of the Scholarship Program in a Region.
|To “Name” a FAMILY SURVIVOR SCHOLARSHIP to provide the resources to take Survivors, and later on Next Generation Survivors, on the March of the Living.
|To “Name” a FAMILY MADRICH(A) SCHOLARSHIP to provide training and resources to take qualified formal and informal Jewish Educators as Staff on the March of the Living.
|To “Sponsor” A DAY OF LEARNING as the teens and adults participate in study sessions to help prepare them to understand the world that was and the atrocities faced by our people during the Holocaust, as well learning about the establishment of our Jewish homeland….Israel. The donor of each day of learning will be recognized in printed material distributed for that day as well as on signage at the venue of the study sessions.
|To “Sponsor” the March of the Living BACKPACKS distributed to each participant in a Region enabling the individual name to be embroidered on the backpack and an inscription from the donor on the inside.
|To “Sponsor” the DEPARTURE CEREMONY at the Holocaust Memorial (or similar venue) and be recognized in the program, media coverage and all announcements of the event.
|To “Sponsor” HALF SCHOLARSHIPS” for a teen, a Survivor or an Israel Guide to participate on the March of the Living.
|To “Name” a FAMILY ISRAELI GUIDE SCHOLARSHIP to bring an Israeli Guide to Poland.
|To “Sponsor” a March of the Living SONG BOOK AND GRACE AFTER MEALS BOOKLET for each Region to be distributed to each participant and recognizing the donor on the cover of the book.
|To “Sponsor” a MINCHA/MAARIV SERVICE CARD for each participant bearing the designation of the Donor to be used during the March of the Living and as a lasting remembrance of the journey.
|To “dedicate” the HAVDALLAH PROGRAM and present each participant with B’samin, glow stick and shavua tov message with recognition of the sponsor. (2 available – Shabbat in Poland & Israel)
|An annual gift to be a “Sponsor” of the GOLF TOURNAMENT and be so recognized on all invitations, printed materials, shirts, and signage for the Golf Tournament during that year. A gift of $180,000 will endow the Tournament in perpetuity.
|To “dedicate” one of the 5 Books of Moses in the March of the Living Torah. Dedication to be recognized on a permanent Torah plaque.(3 available)
|To “dedicate” the LUGGAGE TAGS in each Region that are specially made for each participant.
|ANNUAL GIFT To “Honor a Survivor” with HELPING HANDS. Survivors make a great personal sacrifice to participate on the March, but they are so very essential to the teens and the success of the program. The following “helpful hands” will be provided for all survivors when needed: Medicine dispensing, wheelchair handling, luggage handling, special dietary foods, car service to return to hotel when tired, foldable chairs,umbrellas, business class airline tickets and an attendant to manage above.
